SAMARTH is a Government of India initiative to develop "An Open Source, Open Standard enabled Robust, Secure, Scalable and Evolutionary Process Automation Engine for Universities and Higher Education Institutions" under “National Mission in Education through ICT”, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.

IGNOU decided to avail the SAMARTH Cloud-based platform for IGNOU staffs' recruitment process of Academic and Non-Academic positions which was advertised in September 2019. COE was given the responsibility to coordinate this activity with Academic Coordination Division, Administration Division and Samarth Project team, IIC, University of Delhi, and South Campus. COE Responsibility to provide the relevant input to Samarth Project team, test and reviews of recruitment application forms which are hosted at cloud platforms. The recruitment portal have been activated successfully for teaching posts (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor) and subsequently for non-teaching posts from January 2020 to till date.
