SERVER ROOM AND DATA CENTRE OPERATIONS

Computer Division provides all computing, network and application services (Online/Offline) of the university  through its Server room & Data centre. Various servers (Highend,Desktop Servers, DCIBs, and Blade servers) and network Gateway infrastructure, hosted, installed, configured and commissioned in Windows and Open source platforms. The SAN storage  is available for ERP Back Office (HR& Finance) activities. VLANs have been in place to manage and monitor Building/Block wise LANs. NKN link of 1 Gbps and Reliance link (140 Mbps) are terminated at the server room which also caters to the Data Centre for ERP. Back up support for Webcasting and Web Conferencing is regularly provided for all virtual meetings (weekly with Regional Centres), workshops, memorial lectures, and conferences organized by IGNOU throughout the year.
