Dr. B. A. Kumar has completed his M.Sc. in the discipline of Environmental Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. After his M.Sc. degree, he completed his coursework of M.Phil. and enrolled for direct Ph.D. Programme. He acquired his Ph.D. in the discipline of Environmental Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has also successfully completed PGDDE and M.A. (Distance Education) from IGNOU. He has also completed 12-weeks Training Programme on “Remote Sensing Technology and its Applications” from NRSA, Hyderabad and 1 week training programme on “GIS Auto CAD Map and Map Info” and “GIS PC Arc Info and Arc View” conducted at ER&DCI, Noida. He has participated in more than 50 Live Interactive Radio Counselling Programme through Gyan Vani FM Radio Station and a few Live Interactive Counselling Programme through Gyan Darshan TV Channel, EMPC, IGNOU. Dr. Kumar has authored a book titled as “Remote Sensing and GIS applications in Natural Resource Management”, edited several Units for Certificate in Energy Technology Management (CETM), IGNOU and published several research papers and articles. He has more than 13 years of working experience in Open and Distance Education System.
