The Centre for Corporate Education, Training and Consultancy (CCETC) is a unique initiative to ensure corporate excellence at work place. It is for the first time in the country that the education system has been blended with corporate expertise and dedicated training insight, so that young recruits as well as honchos in the corporate sector can be groomed and updated. IGNOU is spearheading the move in India.

The country sincerely needs skilled employees and managers. According to a recent report of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), only five percent  of the workforce in India is skilled as compared to 80 percent in South Korea and 90 percent in Europe. This figure speaks volumes about the demand India will need to tackle in times to come.

The centre has been created with the sole purpose of developing skills and knowledge in the service and factory levels. Therefore, the centre has to go for collaborative approaches to address these issues.

The CCETC is an autonomous centre of IGNOU. It facilitates executive education, management development, industry-institution collaboration, corporate consultancy and related research activities.

Apart from providing customised curriculum development and up-to-date self-learning study materials, the centre also carries out scientific evaluation as well as takes multimedia approaches in diverse flexible trans-disciplinary systems of corporate education delivery.

For all that, the centre will have to, as it does, go for need analyses of the corporate world, create a methodology to develop a programme in training, curriculum, consultancy and research areas.

For a developing society, excellence at work and compliance of productive output are essential aspects. There cannot be any compromise with these objectives, as the CCETC will meticulously pursue measures of success, monitor programmes and improve the compliance standards.
