About the Programme
The programme is aimed at building the capacity of managers of over 1,00,000 telecentres and village knowledge centres, that will be in operation soon throughout the nation.
The Programme helps to develop professionalism among the telecentre managers and support their day-to-day functional needs in their professional life. The programme contains modules on (a) telecentre management (b) entrepreneurship (c) community development (d) grassroots marketing and (e) infomediary skills.
Objectives of the Programme
The programme has a special emphasis on community development and the provision of information services to members of the rural community in each of the 6,00,000 villages in India. The programme aims to help the managers of telecentres to fulfill the needs of the rural society, especially those who are living below the poverty line.
Also, as a programme linked to employability, it will help rural youth to find employment as village knowledge centre managers under the Common Service Centres programme of the Department of IT.
Medium of Instruction: Hindi and English
Job Prospects: Common Services Centres of Government of India, Village Knowledge Centres, Village Resource Centres, e-Choupals, KVKs, Drishtee, TARAKendras, etc.
Virtual Classes: The learners can participate in the virtual classes organised by CEE. The virtual classes will be handled by experts of the domain. The virtual class schedule will be made available on-line at www.ignou.ac.in
Evaluation: The Evaluation will be based on two elements, 1) Assignments and 2) Final Term-End Examination
