Eligibility:

10+2 or its equivalent with minimum 45% marks (science student will be given preference).

 

The Medical Records Department plays key role in maintaining patient’s records to help the patients and physician in the continuity of patient’s care, better management of treatment, promotes research, takes care of financial and legal interest of patient, physician and hospital. The data collected is very useful in planning and management of hospital, Government policies and community care.

 

Medical Records Technology or Health Information Technology is a field that has variety of functions in a health care facility. Maintenance of good health information system needs understanding of contents of patient’s records, collection of data, application of statistical techniques, understanding of Medico Legal aspects and statutory laws related to health care. The aim of this course is to train the students in all aspects of functioning of Medical Records Department/Services.
