Dr. Jyotsna Dikshit

Dr. Jyotsna has passionately pursued her interest in R&D and Innovations. She worked in IIT-Mumbai as a budding innovator on some important R&D projects sponsored by Aeronautical Development Agency, Bengaluru. As an idea creator and innovator, she has contributed tremendously by developing, implementing and managing several innovative pedagogical, technological and managerial solutions for training, teaching and learning. These include pedagogical innovations in self-learning materials, augmented learning, game-based interactive learning, collaborative training environments, mobile enabled learning, to name a few. These catered to school education for some state governments, besides teacher training and higher education especially in MPBOU and IGNOU, health professionals, health workers and stakeholders of ODL in the country.

As an expert in Innovation in the ODL system, she has contributed immensely to professional development programmes on creativity and innovations for faculty and students of IGNOU, innovative use of ICT tools and interactive multimedia for the teachers, and staff of IGNOU and MPBOU, design and development of interactive multimedia scripts, and videos for school teachers of some state governments, master trainers of IMNCI, Govt. of India and teachers of IGNOU.

She has designed curriculum and developed courseware for IT & CS programmes and was involved in development of a module on ‘Education and Human Resource Development’ with Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.

She has carried out research studies on use/effectiveness of innovative and upcoming ICT for providing education to distance learners and understanding the perception of innovation among the students of IGNOU to name a few.

She has participated in international conferences and seminar and presented on topics related to open innovation, innovative use of ICTs, future innovations, virtual lab, innovation management etc. She has organized a few seminars on Innovations in Distance Education. To know more click here
