Dr. Satish R Gaikwad

Assistant Director

Dr. Satish has MSc, MPhil and PhD in Biotechnology to his academic credentials. He is currently working as Assistant Director in the Research Unit. He had joined as Assistant Director in the erstwhile Distance Education Council in 2012. He also worked in Student Evaluation Division, Student Service Centre, Distance Education Bureau, UGC and Community College Unit. Before joining IGNOU from 2008 to 2012 he worked as Research Officer (Scientific) under an autonomous body of Ministry of Health & F.W., Govt. of India. Prior to this from 2003 to 2007 he also worked as Guest Lecturer in the Deptt. of Biotechnology, Gulbarga University, Gulbarga (Karnataka Govt. State University). He has successfully completed 03 Research Projects funded by  World Health Organization (WHO) and published/presented research papers in both National and International  journals/conferences. From 2008 to 2012 he has Coordinated Advance Research Centre’s established by Ministry of Health & F.W., Govt. of India at various premier research institutions like NIMHANS, Bangalore; Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), DRDO, Delhi; JIPMER, Pondicherry; Govt. Medical College, Jammu and  Gujrat Ayurveda University, Gujrat.
