The School organised a Brainstorming Session on 'Reaching the Unreached: Agriculture Education through ODL' on February 8, 2008, at IGNOU.

The objective of the programme was to prepare a roadmap for future direction in the backdrop of focus being given to the agriculture sector at national level. The session was inaugurated by Member (Agriculture), Planning Commission, Prof Abhijit Sen. Thirty-five participants, including some Vice- Chancellors, deliberated on four major issues viz emerging trends in agriculture, technological and knowledge gaps among Indian farmers, role of ODL in strengthening agriculture education, ODL and technology transfer in Indian Agriculture and formulated recommendations.
