Dr. Ankita Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Nutritional Sciences, School of Continuing Education, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. She has also worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Food & Nutrition at Institute of Home Science, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar University, Agra.
Dr.Ankita Gupta has been teaching Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of Food and Nutrition since the past 8 years. She is also an approved PhD supervisor. She has completed internship and projects in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi having worked closely with nursing students in a project on Calcium and Vitamin D supplementation in Nursing students. She has specialised as a nutritionist in the Bariatric Surgery unit at AIIMS and is a Registered Dietician. She has her own web-portal –

Dr.Ankita has many received many awards for her scientific presentations at various conferences. She has 16 published research papers to her credit. She has been an invited speaker at various colleges, radio shows and written newspaper articles. She was nominated for HT Women Awards, 2017 under the category Ideator/ Eureka Champs. She has attended various FDP’s, organised Webinars/ Seminars, participated in various contests and extension activities.
Published a book titled ‘Textbook of Nutrition’ for BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing and Allied Health Students
