Dr. Anuradha Arya
Assistant Professor
She obtained her Ph.D. in Clothing and Textiles from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar in 2017. Before joining Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) New Delhi, she was working as Assistant Professor in the Fashion Design Department at Galaxy Global Group of Institute, Ambala. She has also worked as Assistant Professor at the Department of Fashion Technology at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Patna. She has worked as Senior Research Fellow in the All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) Clothing and Textile, unit at the College of Home Science, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.
She is the recipient of the ‘Young Scientist Award’ for a paper presentation at the 11th Uttarakhand State Science and Teaching Congress, in 2016-2017. She has three Design registrations (copyright) of handloom saree with Aipan Design and three sarees were also proposed for the registration. She has also showcased her design collection as a designer in Uttarakhand Couture week, January, 2021 organized by Himalayan Buzz at Dehradun.
She is the author of one book published with ISBN-10- 9783848430611 by Lamberts Academic Publication, Germany, and also published many research papers in different national & international peer-reviewed journals. She has developed a Trainers training manual on Rug Making Techniques and Macramé Techniques in 2014 which was printed by the printing Press of G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology Pantnagar for Krishi Vigyan Kandra. Her expertise in textiles, garment construction, and fashion designing.
