The Master of Science in Renewable Energy and Environment program provides in-depth knowledge of all major renewable energy sources along with the conversion process and their applications gives the opportunity to specialize in various areas.
The core modules in advanced technology concepts and methods as well as in the production and utilization of sustainable energy give learner the opportunity in research, industry and as an entrepreneur as well. Focus of the course is to equip the learners with technologies, economics and policy involving energy systems and supply with Renewable Energy sources. Detailed expertise will be offered in Solar Energy Systems involving photovoltaic as well as Thermal Energy Systems, Wind Energy, Biomass, Geothermal, Tidal and Wave energy, Hydrogen & Fuel cells etc along with the energy conversion and conservation techniques.
This 66 credit multidisciplinary program will be modular in nature with an exit option as PG Diploma in Renewable Energy and Environment after completion of first year (34 credits).
Objectives of the Program
- To provide opportunity to the learners to deepen their knowledge of Renewable Energy and Environment and to understand the principles of energy conservation and energy conversion and its effect on the environment.
- To expand the capacities of learners on theoretical and practical aspects of renewable energy sources and their sustainable development.
- To develop professional knowledge and skills to formulate, implement, monitor and evaluate the projects and programs on energy conversion and conservation.
