Certificate in Spanish Language & Culture (CSLC)

Eligibility:

CSLC programme is meant for young adults, working people, research scholars and everyone above the age of 18 who have successfully completed 10+2 or equivalent with knowledge of English who want to learn Spanish and have no prior knowledge of this language.

Medium of Instruction: Spanish and English

 

This basic elementary level Spanish programme (A1 level) is intended for students with no prior knowledge of Spanish, especially living in remote areas, who are interested in learning Spanish as a foreign language in a non-native context and desire to receive cultural information about the Spanish-speaking countries.


The general objective of this programme is that the learners acquire language skills (pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and basic communicative competence, both in oral and written communications) as well as socio-cultural competence in the target language that will enable them to communicate effectively with the Spanish-speaking world in the activities related to daily life.

The curriculum of this programme has been designed in alignment with the Plan Curricular del Instituto Cervantes (PCIC) and is based on the principles set by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) formulated by the Council of Europe. It is expected that those taking part in this programme will achieve the A1 level of communicative competence.
