Prof. Nandini Sinha Kapur

Prof. Nandini Sinha Kapur is with the School of Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Study , IGNOU. She has twenty-eight years of teaching experience including eighteen years in Delhi University. She is an historian by Trainings with a Ph.D from JNU. She was awarded Homi Bhaba Fellowship at the post-doctoral level. She was awarded Homi Bhaba Fellowship for her research on the marginal communities in historical and modern times. She has three published books and a large number of published research papers in national and international journals and edited books. The titles of the books are ''State Formation in Rajasthan: Mewar during the seventh--fifteenth Centuries (Manohar), Situating Tribes, Agropastoralists and Environment in Western India: Seventh to twentieth Century’s (Manohar) and Environmental History of Early India: A Reader (Oxford University Press). She has bagged may honours and awards such as Shastri Indo-Canadian Faculty Mobility Award, Albert Museum Study Award, Charles Wallace India Trust Award, Ancient India and Iran Trust Award Cambridge, UK), Indo-French Cultural Exchange programme Award, University Associate Fellowship at Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Rashtrapati Nivas, Shimla. She has delivered invited lectures at India and South Asian Centres at Harvard University, Columbia and University of Washington(USA), British Columbia and Alberta Universities (Canada), SOAS, London University, St. Anthonys college, Oxford University, Sans Po, Aix-n-Provence and Paris, France and IIAS, Shimla.
