Dr. Kumar has more than 10 years of experience in media teaching and educational content development. His area of interest is audio-visual communication which encompasses television journalism, digital photography, radio, multimedia production, documentary filmmaking and audio-visual production for online platforms. He has been involved in teaching, curriculum designing and production of audio-visual educational content in these areas. He regularly delivers live lectures through Gyan Darshan (TV Channel) and Gyan Vani (FM Radio Channel) on different topics of audio-visual communication. He has coordinated master and bachelor level programmes in electronic media and 3D animation & visual effects respectively. Currently he is developing a PG Diploma programme in electronic media. He has been associated with Star News, Ram Lal Anand College (University of Delhi), Care Campus (NGO) and Amity University, Lucknow.
He has been awarded the Media Star Fellowship by Star India Pvt. Ltd, PTI Award by Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) and Super Brain Youth Award by the popular magazine Competition Success Review (CSR). He was the university topper (University of Delhi) of bachelor degree in Hindi Journalism. He is also the co-author of a book, 'Hindi: Tab AurAab'. He has presented papers in a number of national and international conferences and has publications in national and international journals.
