The Doctoral Studies Programme aims at training professionals and teachers in the skills and competences related to the systematic investigation of various issues and problems in the area of their study. At this level, the study is expected to provide new and original insights into the problem or the area under investigation.
How To Apply
Applications for admission to the Ph.D. programme may be submitted on the prescribed form along with a research proposal on a selected theme for thesis work at any time of the year to: The Registrar, Student Registration Division (SRD), Indira Gandhi National Open University, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi – 110 068
Duration of Registration
In all cases, the minimum and maximum time for completing the programme shall be 2 years and 5 years, respectively, from the date of registration in the programme. However, under exceptional circumstances, the Vice-Chancellor may allow curtailment or extension of the period.
