Dr P Venkatramana

Assistant Professor

Dr. P. Venkatramana is an Assistant Professor in the faculty of Anthropology.

He has been awarded a UGC Major Research Project titled “Pre valence of obesity and its association with blood pressure and blood glucose levels. He has published a book “Apoliprofein E Polymorphism in Indian Populations: Comparison with other word population.”

He has published papers in national and international reputed Journals and also presented papers in national and international conferences/seminars.

His area of specialization is Physical Anthropology and he is course coordinator for two courses, Archaeological Anthropology and Human Genetics in Masters in Anthropology Programme. He is the Programme Coordinator of the PhD Programme and Course Coordinator of two courses, Anthropology of Indigenous Peoples and Biological and Social Dimensions of Humankind for the soon to be launched BDP programme.
