Dr. Nidhi Tewathia
Assistant Professor
Dr. Nidhi Tewathia joined Economics, SOSS, IGNOU in September 2021. At present she is involved with development of an elective course on Game Theory.She has gained experience in teaching, research and curriculum development in last 15 years. She has a strong understanding of curriculum development and its progression by teaching students at various levels (primary, senior secondary, undergraduate and post graduate). Before joining IGNOU, she has taught at Gargi College, University of Delhi; Department of Economics, Guru Gobin Singh Indraprastha University; Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. She has also been an Academic Counsellor for IGNOU.Herspecialisation is Microeconomics (Introductory and Intermediate), Public Economics and Macroeconomics (Introductory), Environmental Economics.Her past research areas have been Common Property Resources, Energy Economics and Social sector expenditure.Her present research areas are ICT, Digital Divide, Social inequality with respect to Digital Inequality, Inclusion and exclusion studies, gender studies.She regularly participates at national and international seminars/conferences/workshops. Her work has been published by Springer, Elsevier and other international journals.
