Prof. Kaustuva Barik
Professor
Dr. Kaustuva Barik holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Sambalpur University and Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. During an academic career spanning more than 30 years he has two books to his credit: ‘Paper Industry in India: Production Structure and Productivity Growth’ (author) and ‘From Statism to Neo-Liberalism: The Development Process in India’ (co-editor), apart from papers in books and journals, including Economic and Political Weekly, and Environmental and Resource Economics; and the Alternative Economic Survey. He has also presented research papers in national and international conferences. He has been a visiting scholar at Maison des sciences de l’homme (MSH) Paris, and guest faculty at IIT, Delhi, and Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University. His areas of interest include Industrial Economics, Environmental Economics and Applied Econometrics.
