Prof. Anjila Gupta

Dr. Anjila Gupta has been associated with the School of Social Sciences as a Professor of Economics since August 2005. Prior to this, she was working as Professor of Economics and Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, G.G. University, Bilaspur. She has been a Gold Medalist in her Post Graduation and a UGC Net-qualified Senior Research Fellow at Banaras Hindu University. She has three books to her credit: ‘Environmental Pollution – Developed Countries V/S Underdeveloped Countries (2000)’, ‘Post-Reform: Leading Issues of Indian Economy-Vol. I’ and ‘Post Reform: Leading Issues of Indian Economy-Vol. II’ (2002).

 

In 2003 she was awarded the Commonwealth fellowship for the United Kingdom and in 2008, she was awarded a Fellowship for visiting France by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi. She has about 30 research papers to her credit. 05 students have been awarded Ph.D. degree and 23 students have been awarded M.Phil degree under her supervision. She has worked on a World Bank project on the State Finance of Chhattisgarh State in 2004. Presently, she is the Research Programme Coordinator and also coordinating M.Phil. Course in International Economics, MA course in Public Economics and two Bachelor Degree course in Development Economics and National Income Accounting.
