Prof. Rose Nembiakkim

Prof. Rose Nembiakkim areas of interest lies in Adolescent and youth, Women and gender issue, HIV and AIDS, Indigenous/ tribal issues and Community Development. She did her M.Phil and PhD in Social Medicine and Community Health from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her M.A in Social work was from the Department of Social Work-Delhi University. Before joining the School of Social work, she was with the Staff Training and Research Institute of Distance Education (STRIDE)-IGNOU where she participated as well as organized a number of training programmes in and around the country. Prior to this,Prof.Nembiakkim also taught at the Department of Social Work, Delhi University as an ad-hoc faculty. She has successfully coordinated the Pan-Africa e-Network project (A Government of India Initiative with the African Countries) for the School of Social Work also, successfully completed a major research project from Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) to study the issue of Migration among the tribals and its effect on their health.
 
Prof. Rose Nembiakkim is a recipient of Fulbright Nerhu Fellowship-IEAS 2019. She has published books and many articles and presented papers both in national and international seminars.
