Master of Philosophy in Translation Studies (MPHILTT)

Eligibility:

Possesses Master’s Degree from a University recognized by UGC or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in such fields of study as are notified for the purpose from time to time by the University with at least 55% marks [50% marks in the case of SC, ST and OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of UGC from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991] excluding grace marks.

Qualifies in the Entrance Test conducted by IGNOU at the national level.
 

 

The School offers M.Phil. programme to those candidates who have a post-graduate degree in translation studies, literature, linguistics, cultural studies or allied subjects with proven competence in translation. The programme has an entrance examination and the candidates are interviewed by a doctoral committee of experts in the area for admission.

Weightage : 70% for Entrance Examination and 30% for interview.

The candidates admitted for the programme have to undertake the course work and those who have already undertaken the course work will be exempted.
