Dr Deo Shankar Navin
Associate Professor
Dr Deoshankar Navin has done PhD (Hindi) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and PhD (Maithili) from LN Mithila University. Prior to this he did MSc in Physics from Ranchi University, and MA in Hindi from the same University. He has also done PG Diploma in Translation from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, New Delhi, in 1993, and PG Diploma in Book Publishing from Delhi University in 1996.
During his rich and illustrious career, which includes his experience as Editor (2004-2009) in the National Book Trust, India (New Delhi), he has done more than 200 books covering a wide range of the cultural-literary field. These books, translated from English and other languages, got published in various book series, namely Aadan-Pradan, Bharatiya Sahitya Nidhi, and Lok Snskriti Aur Sahitya. He founded the 'National Book Trust Samvad' in 1994 and edited the National Book Trust 'Saksharata Samvad' monthly magazine.
He has conducted around 100 programmes like 'Meet the Author', Seminars/ Talks/ Workshops. He conducted national level Workshop of Translation at Shankardev Kala Kshetra, Guwahati in Hindi-Assames and and vise-versa. He has also taught Taught Publishing Course as Guest Faculty in Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, New Delhi.

- Best Young Poet Award by Hindi Academy, Delhi in 1991

In his professional career as a writer and Editor over the last two decades, he has contributed to almost the entire genre of literary field.
