IGNOU celebrates 71st Independence Day, announces MoU with NeGD, CSC

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) celebrated the 71st Independence Day in its campus in Maidan Garhi, Delhi. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Ravindra Kumar hoisted the national flag and announced the university’s partnership with National e-Governance Division (NeGD) and Common Services Network of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and  in the form of a MoU on 22nd August.

 
“After the MoU, IGNOU will be able to collaborate with NeGD to prepare e-governance training videos. NeGD will be providing all the technical assistance required for the LMS. While partnering with CSCs will be fruitful for IGNOU students. They are the access points for delivery of various electronic services to villages in India, thereby contributing to a digitally and financially inclusive society. All the CSC centres can be used by IGNOU students in the form of CSC wallet,” he announced today.
 
The Vice Chancellor also launched the digital version of the open news letter called the ‘IGNOU DIGI NEWS’ which shall be distributed to the IGNOU students, staff members, academia and others.
 
He also launched the digital version of the Bachelors Preparatory Programme in the form of a CD which shall also be distributed with the study learning materials.
