Admission Notification for Management Programmes: OPENMAT-XXIX and OPENDEN-III
27 November, 2010Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has begun admission process for Management and Dental programmes.
IGNOU invites application for the Degree/ Diploma programmes in Management: Master of Business Administration (MBA), Diploma in Management (DIM), Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM), Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM), Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM), Post-Graduate Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM), Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM).
IGNOU has also announced admission to Post-Graduate Certificate in Oral Implantology (PGCOI) and Post Graduate Certificate in Endodontics (PGCE). IGNOU, in collaboration with the Dental Council of India, has developed two Post-Graduate Certificate programmes for BDS Graduates.
These programmes are essentially a judicious mix of theoretical and practical courses. They enhance the knowledge and skills in the field of Oral Implantology and Endodontics, respectively. The programmes are approved by the DCI. The practical skills are imparted through selected DCI recognized dental colleges all over the country.
The University will admit students for the Degree/ Diplomas in Management starting from July 2011 session via an Entrance Test ‘OPENMAT-XXIX,’ to be held on Sunday, February 13, 2011 all over the country.
The Eligibility for admission to the Openmat-XXIX is Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks for General Category and 45% for Reserved Category; or Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of supervisory/managerial/professional experience, or Professional Degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine/Architecture/Law/ Pharmacy; or Professional Qualifications in Accountancy/ Cost and Works Accountancy/Company Secretaryship etc; or Master's Degree in any subject Clearance of OPENMAT conducted by IGNOU.
Candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance test for admission into Management Programme conducted by the institutions like CAT, MAT and State Level tests need not appear in OPENMAT. The cut off percentage for admission of these candidates will be decided by the university.
Non-graduates (10+2 or equivalent) with six years of Managerial/supervisory/ professional experience are eligible for taking admission into Diploma in Management only after clearing the entrance test.
The Eligibility for admission to the Openden-III is Registered BDS Doctors after completion of internship. The degree should be recognized by Dental Council of India.The selection will be done on the basis of a combined entrance test for the two programmes after applying the reservation as per Govt. of India rules.
The minimum Duration is one year and maximum duration is three years of this programme, the Medium of instruction is English and there is no maximum age limit.
Student Handbook & Prospectus for Management Programme & OPENDEN– 2011 can be obtained from the Registrar (SRD), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi- 110068 and from all the Regional Centres of IGNOU by paying Rs. 500 in cash at the respective sale counters.
Application form and prospectus can also be downloaded from the website: www.ignou.ac.in and sent along with a DD/IPO for Rs.550/- in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi (in case of Openmat) and New Delhi/city of concerned Regional Centre (for Openden).
