Celebration of 4th International Day of Yoga at IGNOU

Indira Gandhi National Open University has decided to observe International Day of Yoga on 21st June, 2018 in a benefiting manner. The International Day of Yoga will be celebrated from 19th June, 2018 to 21st June, 2018. The following activities will be organized during these three days:

A. Lectures on the following themes

1. Yoga for curing diseases

2. Pranayam and Meditation on healthy living

3. Karam Yoga

4. Importance of Yoga and Meditation in Daily life

 

B. Sessions on Yoga Demonstration

1. Yoga Demonstration- general

2. Yoga for curing diseases

3. Illustration of Yoga by Children

 

C. Pranayam

· Illustration of various Pranayam techniques

 

Yogacharya Shri Sheshpal, Bhartiya Vidhya Bhawan, New Delhi and Ms. Nidhi Khanduja, Moraraji Desai National Institute of Yoga, will be the key resource persons to deliver the lectures on various themes, informed Prof. Narayan Prasad, School of Social Sciences, Coordinator of International Day of Yoga at IGNOU.


The programme on 21st June, 2018 will be webcasted live across the country. All IGNOU Regional Centres will organize yoga demonstrations and other related activities at their respective Regional Centres.
