IGNOU announces admissions for January 2012 session17 November, 2011
While gearing up to celebrate its foundation day on 19th November 2011, the Indira Gandhi National Open University has announced walk-in admissions for January 2012 session for its master's, bachelor's, diploma, certificate, awareness, appreciation and non-credit programmes.
The last date to apply for admission is 30th November 2011 without late fee and 15th December 2011 with late fee of Rs. 200/-.
The prospectus and application form for January 2012 session is available at all the regional centers of the university as well as at the head quarters. It is also available on the University’s website www.ignou.ac.in. Downloaded admission application form, duly completed/filled in, can be submitted along with an amount of Rs. 100/- in addition to the programme fee in the form of a Demand Draft/Cash Order in favour of “IGNOU” payable at the Regional Centre.
Some of the popular Master Degree Programmes are MA in Rural Development, Tourism Mgmt, English, Hindi, Philosophy, Gandhi & Peace Studies, Education, Public Administration, Participatory Development, Economics, History, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Extension & Development Studies, Gender & Development Studies, Distance Education, Anthropology, MCA, M.Com., MSW, Master of Science in Dietics and Food Services Management, Master of Library & Information Sciences, Mathematics with application in Computer Sciences.
Bachelor degree programmes include Bachelor of Arts (BA) also with major in Political Science, History, Economics, Mathematics, Public Adminstration, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, English, Hindi, and Urdu. Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.),Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) also with Major in Physics, Chemistry, Mathmatics, Zoology & Botany. Bachelor of Computer Applications(BCA), Bachelor of Arts (Tourism Studies)(BTS), Bachelor of Social Work(BSW), Bachelor of Library & Information Sc., Bachelor Preparatory Programme and Diplomas, Certificates, Non Credit, Appreciation and Awareness programmes.
