Last date for submission of forms for B.Arch. Programme is August 25, 2011

The last date for submission of forms for Bachelor’s in Architecture (B.Arch.) for July 2011 session in the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is August 25, 2010. B.Arch. is an on-campus full-time five-year Programme of the University and will be delivered through the K.R. Manglam School of Architecture and planning in the capital.

The intake capacity of the programme is 40 seats only. For admission in this programme a student must fit in one of the three eligibility criteria: 50 percent marks in aggregate at 10+2 level or equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or 10+3 years Diploma (any stream) (recognised by Central/State Governments with 50 percent) aggregate marks or International

Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50 percent marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

However, all candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. progamme should have a valid National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) score conducted by the Council of Architecture. The merit list and schedule of admission counselling will be displayed on August 29, 2011 on the website while the programme commences from  September 1, 2011.

Students whose names appear in the merit list will be called for counseling. The successful candidates should submit a Demand Draft of Rs. 22,500/- drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi at the time of counseling and another Demand Draft for Rs. 52,500/- in favour of the Institute.

The forms for B.Arch. are available at the School Of Engineering and Technology (SOET) of IGNOU at Maidan Garhi in the capital. Alternatively, the prospectus can also be downloaded from the IGNOU website and can be submitted at SOET.
