IGNOU organises free health camp for employees

The Indira Gandhi National Open University’s (IGNOU’s) School of Health Sciences (SOHS) organised a free health camp in association with the Pushpawati Singhania Research Institute (PSRI) in the Convention Centre of the University for all its employees.
An expert panel of four specialists in Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Urology, and Rheumatology participated in the camp. The panel of doctors visiting the campus included Dr.Vidyanand Tripathi, Nephrology, Dr.Amit Devra, Urology, Dr.Amit Gupta, Gastroenterology and Dr.Hemant Gopal, Rheumatology. All IGNOU employees and their family members availed the facility including daily wagers and staff on contract basis.
More than 200 employees and their family members were examined by these doctors. In addition, the diagnostic and other facilities that include B.P. measurement, random blood sugar, blood urea, partial LFT, Serum Creatinine and ECG were provided.
Further, the school will be organising a health camp for Gynecological check-ups including pap smear test in collaboration with Sitaram Bhartiya Hospital.
