IGNOU organized Campus Placement Walk-in Drive on July 21, 2015

The Campus Placement Cell (CPC) of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) organised a Campus Placement Drive on July 21, 2015, where huge gathering of students was witnessed. Over 400 candidates were interviewed by two companies who participated in this drive.


While addressing the candidates, the official from a leading airline company briefed about the need of job in the airlines sector, highlighting its pros and cons. He also added that “Airline is the safest and fastest mode of transportation”


Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. P. Prakash was also present during placement drive, while addressing thanked the companies for participating in this drive and also gave his best wishes to the candidates.


Dr. Manoj Kulshrestha, Incharge CPC presented an account of activities of CPC aiming at the placements of IGNOU students. He further informed that a Job Fair has been planned at IGNOU study centre, PC Training Institute, Pitampura on July 31, 2015 where over 10 companies would be participating.


Simplicity and effective communication is only the criteria for selection, besides fulfilling all the minimum eligibility conditions; said the official from the Airlines company and Director from DASH Career Fox Pvt. Ltd said that “In this competitive world, we have an expectation that, the promising candidate should at least be a graduate and should have impeccable communication and promising skills to get herself shortlisted.”


Students of IGNOU were in a joyful mood as the Airline company shortlisted 17 candidates for cabin crew and 40 for ground staff. The HR Company, DASH Career Fox Pvt. Ltd also selected 7 Associates and 3 Senior Associates out of 45 students who opted to appear for the interview for them.


A student who was shortlisted by the Airline Company said “I have got a great opportunity to showcase my talent, I am really thankful to CPC, IGNOU for providing me this platform.”
