Master of Arts in History by IGNOU

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offers Master of Arts in History (MAH). The programme would be of great use for the teachers working in Schools, personnel working in various institutions associated with history and culture (Museums, Archives, Archaeological Survey etc.), working people in various organisations and all graduates who are desirous of acquiring a Master’s Degree in History.

In M.A. History programme IGNOU has adopted a thematic approach. Programme has been designed in such a way that it would provide insight and knowledge of the major developments with transition stages in World History as well as Indian History. Efforts have been made to incorporate the latest research findings in the course material.

The programme is available in English and Hindi. Eligibility for MAH is Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University. The duration of the programme is two years, However it can be completed in a maximum period of 5 years.
