Media Release: French Teachers Training Progarmme at School of Foreign Languages (SOFL), IGNOU

 The  Embassy of France in India and the Centre International d’Études Pédadogiques CIEP, France is organizing a week long Teacher Training Programme. This is in collaboration with the School of Foreign Languages (SOFL) of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and is to be held in the last week of May 2015 in Delhi (24 to 29 May 2015) with nearly 90 trainee participants from India and South Asia.

The Centre International d’Études Pédadogiques (CIEP), is the premier institute in France in the field of international cooperation in Education and is a key public entity under the auspices of the French Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research, France. It is also a member of the Sorbonne Universities group of universities and Research Institutes.
The trainee participants will go through various training modules exposing them to new techniques and current trends in pedagogy of French as a Foreign Language. They will simultaneously be initiated into the IGNOU model of teaching learning and introduced to alternative techniques of material development and delivery through Open and Distance Mode of which IGNOU remains the premier institution in the country.
 
Upholding the mandate of the University , the School of Foreign Languages, IGNOU joins hands with the French Ministry of Higher Education and the French Embassy in India, towards capacity building and resource creation for effective dissemination of French language teacher training all over the country. For More Details contact : Dr. D.
