Dr Rajendra Prasad Pandey




He has obtained his B.A. degree from University of Allahabad and M.A, M.Phil, &Ph.D (in Hindi) Degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Also received P.G. Diploma in Translation from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan.Joined IGNOU as Associate Professor in Translation Studies on 11th February, 2009. Before joining IGNOU, he had worked as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and as Associate Professor from 31st January 1996 to February 2009 in different Colleges including Government College, Dharmshala, under the Department of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh. Areas of Interest include--Translation Studies, Translation Theories, Culture Studies, Comparative Literature, Ramchandra Shukla Studies, Agyeya and Modern Hindi literature, Western Literary Theories, Hindi Criticism and Indian Poetics. Besides four Books on Criticism, a number of articles/Research Papers published in Journals of repute and included in Anthologies.

Publication: Original—Ramchandra Shukla AurPashchim :SamvadAurPrativad, ParamparaKaPariprekshya, Agyeya Ki AalochnaDrishti, Aalochana Ki Antaryatra. Translated: BhartiyaRashtravad, PirajiSagra, Gurucharan Singh, JagdishSwaminathan etc. In addition to that contributed to Encyclopedia of Indian Poetics—UNESCO &SahityaAkademi Project. Participation, Paper Presentaion, Keynote Address, Chairing Session in number of National-International Seminars/Symposia.

10 M.Phil. Degrees have been awarded under his Supervision.
