I joined IGNOU as Senior Assistant in May, 1989 as a Post-Graduate. Immediately after joining this University, I joined MBA from IGNOU and completed the same in 1993. Because of deep interest in this system of education, in 1996, I did PGDDE and later MA (distance Education) and was awarded Gold Medal. I became Assistant Registrar in 1996.. During all this period I was involved with the activities related to Student Support Service, which I feel is the heart and soul of this stream of education. Again, I was posted back to RSD in 1998 when a Diversified Delivery Cell was created and the schemes like Special Study Centre, Distance Learning Facilitator were launched. Prior to this, Single Window Operation Scheme was launched for the benefit of our brave forces and being an ex-serviceman took keen interest in ensuring its success. I also took admission in Ph.D. in Management in Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University in 1999 and completed the same in 2002 I also worked in EMPC as Assistant Registrar and Deputy Registrar. I joined Distance Education Council as Deputy Director and till now worked in UGC on deemed deputation, Regional Centre, Delhi III, Regional Centre, Ranchi, Planning and Development Division and presently posted in International Division.
