The first conference of the SAARC Consortium of Open and Distance Learning (SACODiL), with VC, IGNOU as the first Chairperson, is held from January 19 to 21 2005.
The 16th Convocation held. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. President of India, delivers the Convocation address.
IGNOU and Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) join hands to launch various programmes at different levels in the areas of Craft, Design and Art. The first programme in this series is Certificate in Craft & Design (Pottery).
