  • Prof. V.N. Rajasekharan Pillai, Vice Chancellor, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) honoured with the Presidential Gold Medal Award by the Prime Minister of India at the 95th Indian Science Congress 2008 in Visakhapatanam on January 3.
  • An MoU between IGNOU and Atomic Energy Education Society (AEES), Mumbai, is signed to enhance the information knowledge and Information Communication Technology (ICT) capabilities of the employees of AEES at different levels.
