Dr Namrata Singh is a Registered Dietitian and is an Assistant Professor, Discipline of Nutritional Sciences, School of Continuing Education, at IGNOU, New Delhi since October, 2021. She has an experience of 30 years in clinical nutrition and dietetics and has served as Dietitian in the Department of Gastroenterology and Human Nutrition Unit, All India Institute of Medical sciences, New Delhi before joining IGNOU. Nutrition and dietetics students from all over India have completed their internship/ short term observer ship under her able guidance. For last 20 years she was involved with teaching nutrition to students of College of Nursing, AIIMS. Developed IBD Nutricare an application for IBD patients/researcers to record diet intake and clinical condition.
Dr Namrata Singh has authored chapters for books, presented papers at national and international conferences and published research papers in peer reviewed journals.She has an extensive research experience and has been awarded 8 research projects as Principal/ Co-Principal/ Co-Investigator funded by ICMR, New Delhi. She is a recognized research supervisor for the PhD offered by IGNOU. She has been co-guide and doctoral committee member for M.Sc/ Ph.D/ M.D/D.M/M.Ch thesis at AIIMS, New Delhi
