Dr. Preetika Badgujar
Assistant Professor
Dr. Preetika Badgujar is an Assistant Professor, Faculty of Child Development, School of Continuing Education, Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi.
Prior to this she has worked at the Department of Human Development and Childhood Studies at University of Delhi and has been a faculty at the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, Pant Nagar University as well. She holds a rich experience of working in multiple projects with NIPCCD and IIT under different capacities. She has worked extensively in preparation of training modules for ‘master trainers’ as per the schemes launched by GOI.
Dr. Badgujar is a certified art therapist and is an active resource person for University of Delhi and Avabodha Learnings (an e-learning platform). She is also an approved PhD supervisor. She has presented a number of research papers in several national and international conferences, and has many research contributions and publications to her credit.
Her doctoral research was on assessment of challenges and coping patterns among middle aged adults. She has developed two scales to measure the challenges and the coping patterns among adults respectively. She holds a Master Degree in Human Development and Childhood Studies from University of Delhi.
Her specialization include Early Childhood Care and Education; Disability; Child Rights and Gender Empowerment; Development in Adolescence and Adulthood; and Sociology of Working with Families and Communities.
Her primary research interest lies in the area of childhood, lifespan development and disability. She envisions designing and steering researches, academic writing and publications.
