Admission Process
Learners can enroll online at
www.onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in. On confirmation of admission, learner will be informed about their study plan and counseling schedule and will get their course material. The programme guide of the programme will provide detailed information on various aspects of the programme to the learner.
Implementation of the Programme
Programme will be implemented through a network of Programme Study Centres located in variety of setting like Hospital/School/College of Nursing/Clinics/NGO’s. Exiting PSCs of SOHS, IGNOU study centres/regular Programme study centres with first aid kits and other necessary requirements for developing first aid skills. A team of Teachers/Academic Counsellors will be trained to take contact sessions at study centres.
Programme Study Centre (PSC)
Programme study centres are located in Hospital/School/College of Nursing/Clinics/NGO’s. Exiting PSCs of SOHS, IGNOU study centres/regular Programme study centres with first aid kits and other necessary requirements for developing first aid skills. List of Activated PSC for the programme have been given in Appendix 1.

Attendance
For successful completion of programme, a student is required to have minimum of 75% attendance in the theory academic counselling sessions, to be eligible to appear in the examination.
90% attendance for practical work in each course is compulsory for becoming eligible to appear in the practical examinations.
Assignment, Self Activities and Supervised Activities: Submission and Evaluation
· Download the assignment from IGNOU website, downloads or Assignments section. Download assignment for respective year of admission. The submission dates are mentioned in the assignment. Student should submit assignments before taking the term-end theory examination. The counsellors at programme study centre will evaluate them and return to the students for feedback.
· If student is not able to submit all the assignments within the one-year time frame of admission, then student will submit fresh assignments.
· Log-Book is meant to maintain record of all activities that are practiced and performed as a part of programme
· Student will submit the log book having a record of Self Activities and Supervised Activities to be evaluated by the Academic Counsellor during supervised practical contact session.

Guidelines for Theory Term End Examination
Theory Examination (TEE) will be conducted by the university as per date sheet by SED, IGNOU. Study Centre will be allotted by SED. Hall ticket will be uploaded on IGNOU website , please download it. TEE will carry 50 per cent weightage. Student need to score 50 percent marks separately in the TEE to be declared successful. If student is unable to complete during the first attempt, he/she can subsequently take it in December and June Term-End Examination.

Guidelines for Practical Term End Examination
Practical Examination date will be finalized by PIC at PSC. Students will be informed in advance. Final Practical Examination will carry 50 per cent weightage which will be conducted by internal and external examiner in the subject. Student need to score 50 percent marks separately in the final practical examination to be declared successful. There will be one internal and one external examiner for each course.
