Eligibility:

Applicants with 10+2 or equivalent qualification or BPP from IGNOU, and basic knowledge of computers.

The Diploma in Computer-Generated Imagery programme is offered by IGNOU in collaboration with MAAC. This programme, launched in July 2009, will expose students to the nuances of the art of digital film making, along with the world of 3D Animation.
 

Students will undergo training on realistic filmmaking and how to create 3D models, realistic texturing & lighting, rigging and high-end character animation. Various technologies used in the filmmaking domain, such as compositing and editing, will be covered.
 

This Programme is best suited for anyone who wants to enter the 3D animation industry. The programme covers all aspects of 3D animation and film making with focus on modelling, shading, lighting, rigging, FX & character animation.
 

Objectives

  • On successful completion of this programme, the student will be able to:
  • Comprehend extensively the working and controls of cameras;
  • Demonstrate cinematic lighting ans digital image enhancement;
  • Apply compositing techniques to digital images;
  • Understand the domestic and global 3D animation industry in detail;
  • Work on Autodesk 3D Studio Max™ and Autodesk Maya™;
