Eligibility:

Applicants with 10+2 or equivalent qualification or Bachelor's Preparatory Programme (BPP) from IGNOU, and a basic knowledge of computers.

The Certificate programme in Digital Film Making is offered by IGNOU in collaboration with the Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC).
 

This is a comprehensive programme that exposes students to the nuances of the art of digital filmmaking, and covers varied aspects of filmmaking, including shooting to editing and compositing to recording sound for the same.
 

Students will undergo training on realistic film making by the use of technologies like compositing and editing.
 

Objectives:
 

  • On successful completion of this programme, the student will be able to:
  • Comprehend extensively the workings and controls of cameras;
  • Discuss techniques and aesthetics of cinematography;
  • Demonstrate cinematic lighting and digital image enhancement; and
  • Apply compositing techniques to digital images.
