Prof (Dr) Kaushal Panwar, hails from Kaithal District in Haryana. She completed her graduation from Kaithal and later studied for her Masters in Sanskrit from Kurukshetra University, Master in Hindi from Vinayaka Missions University Salem Tamilnadu, M.Phil. From Maharishi Dayanand University Rohtak, Haryana. She obtained her doctorate in Sanskrit from JNU, New Delhi.
She started her career as an Assistant Professor in Sanskrit Department in 2008 with Motilal Nehru College (Morning) in Delhi University. She became Associate Professor in the department of Sanskrit in 2020. She is presently working as a Professor of Sanskrit Discipline in the School of Humanities at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi in 13th September, 2021. Her SPECIALISED AREA OF STUDY and research INTEREST are “Study of Dharamshastra and position of Shudra (Shudra’s Woman) in Ancient History, Varna-System, Castism, Language of Shudra’s and Woman.
She has published 9 books among them, Sahintaaon Mein Shudra, Bhaartiya Sanskrit Mein Shudra Evam Nari, Dharmshastriy Shudra Avadharana, Shudra Stri: Prantantrataa Evam Pratirodh, Translation and Edited book: Shudrahanikam (KARMLAKARA BHATT) Translation and Edited, Question of Human Rights: Indian Society, Creative writing: (Hindi), Johadi (kahani Sangrah) Bavandaron Ke Beech (Autobiography) and Edited Book-Aajadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, 21 striman ki Kahaniyan Haryana. She has completed her Minor Research Project entitled “Shastron Mein Shura Stri Vimarsh’ by University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
She has published 21 research paper and article in national and international journal. Her literary criticism has received worldwide recognition in the domain of Sanskrit Dharmshastra. She has been admired by various social networking sites and her literary and academic contributions are deeply cited.
She has been invited as a DISCUSSANT / COMMENTATOR / IN NATIONAL and INTERNATIONAL / WORKSHOP / SYMPOSIUM and in the above platforms, she delivered 76 lectures. Apart from this she has presented 32 researcher papers in the national and international seminars/ conferences and symposium. She is the member of the following professional bodies like :The Member of Faculty Research Committee (FRC), University Mondrian Mansion, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, The Member of Telephone advisory committee for Delhi West Telecom Distric Department of Telecommunications, PHP section, Ministry of Communication, Government of India. External Subject member (As a special Invitee) of the board of the studies of the department of Sanskrit, School of Humanities and Languages mahatma Gandhi central University Motihari Patna Bihar (From 23rd November 2021 till date).External Member of Board of the studies of the faculty of modern Indian language of Shri Jagadish Prasad Jhabarmal Tibrewala University JJTU Rajasthan from 27Th January 2019 to till date.
