Prof. Vijay Kumar Baraik
Professor
Prof. Vijay Kumar Baraik obtained his M.A. M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Geography from the Centre for the Study of Regional Development, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is a Graduate of St. Xavier’s College Ranchi. Before joining IGNOU in 2011, he worked as a Scientist with Jharkhand Space Applications Centre (JSAC), Ranchi. He also worked with other organizations for a brief period. His areas of interest are regional development and planning, development and disparity, social geography, health and education, and applications of geoinformatics in research and development.
