∙ Webinar: The School of Vocational Education and Training (SOVET) along with Financial Inclusion and Development Department (FIDD), RBI, New Delhi organized ‘Financial Literacy’ Webinar on 24th March, 2021 through virtual mode. The session was chaired by Prof. Satyakam, Hon’ble PVC, IGNOU. The Directors of School/Heads of Divisions/Centres/Units and Regional Directors, faculty, Students and staff participated in the webinar. Ms. Anita Patnaik, GM, FIDD, RBI, in her opening remarks welcomed the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, faculty, staff and students and thereafter started the functions of RBI.Prof. Satyakam, PVC, IGNOU highlighted the importance of ‘Financial Literacy’ in the present context. Shri. Sada Shiv, AGM, RBI, Smt. Kanupriya Madan, Manager, RBI and Ms. Vandana Sachdeva, Manager, RBI gave presentation on the following topics:Digital Payment products, Safety & Security of Digital Transactions, Customer Liability in Unauthorized Transactions, Banking Ombudsman Scheme, Complaint Management System portal. Essential & Security features f Banknotes, Notes Refund Rules MSME’s – Role & Significance in financial Inclusion. The webinar was coordinated by Mr. M.R. Shri Kanth, Manager, FIDD, RBI, New Delhi. In the last Prof. A.K. Gaba, Director, SOVET, IGNOU extended the vote of thanks.
∙ Virtual Interaction Meeting: The school organized virtual interaction meeting on ‘New Education Policy 2020’ and Vocational Education with the Experts from CBSE. PSSCIVE, NCERT, NITTR Sector Skills Council (SSCs), members of working group on Vocational Education, IGNOU and SOVET faculty dated 18th September 2020 through Google Meet.
∙ Panel Discussion: The school organised Panel Discussion on ‘Vocational Excellence’ on 21st October, 2019. The session was inaugurated by the Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Satyakam, IGNOU. The Panelists of the session were Prof. Murari Suvedi, Fulbright Scholar, Michigan State University, USA and Prof. A.K. Gaba, SOVET, IGNOU.
