The prime objective is to strengthen the Traditional Knowledge (TK) existing in different parts of India and empower the local communities across the country. Given the length, breadth and differences within India, lessons learnt from one part of the country will be applied to other parts, and vice versa. In the era of free flow of ideas and information, it is essential that the indigenous people benefit fully from national and international dynamics, while securing their age old pristine glory, their traditions, identities, belief systems and worldview.
