Subsidy Application
In an effort to broaden participation in the Sixth Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning, the PCF6 Sponsorship Committee at the Commonwealth of Learning will coordinate the allocation of subsidies for fees and/or travel which have been received from Forum sponsors, including COL and IGNOU. These are for a limited number of PCF6 delegates from developing countries in the Commonwealth only: successful applicants must be living in and hold citizenship of a developing Commonwealth country.
As limited funds are available for this purpose, the rationale for support (reasons for subsidy and benefits expected) as submitted on this form will be considered in deciding on successful applicants. Regional and gender balances will also be taken into account. Those who have not received subsidised support through COL for attendance at past PCFs will be given priority.
All delegates receiving subsidies will be expected to bear some of the associated travel costs such as visas and ground transportation at home.
All successful applicants will be required to sign a subsidy agreement which outlines the terms and conditions of the sponsorship and includes committing to attendance and to submitting a report to COL at the end of the Forum.
Application deadline is 15 August 2010. Please send your completed form to:
PCF6 Sponsorship Committee
By email: PCF6subsidies@col.org
Applicants will be notified as to their success or otherwise by 15 September 2010.
