IGNOU Learners embrace promising career avenues at the Mega Campus Placement Drive

Ms Seema, an IGNOU alumna, who appeared for a job interview at IGNOU’s Mega Campus Placement Drive, shared how IGNOU helped her in pursuing the right course and also finding the right job after she had to discontinue her corporate career due to personal obligations. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), democratizing education and job avenues for several students like her, successfully conducted a mega on-campus placement drive. The event was organized by the Campus Placement Cell (CPC) on Wednesday, 25 February 2026 at the B. R. Ambedkar Convention Centre in Delhi.
The placement drive witnessed an overwhelming response, marked by robust participation from learners, alumni, and recruiters. Catering to a vast learner base from every stream, CPC invited six recruiting companies from varied industry verticals including Fin-tech, IT, BPO, Banking, Hospitality, Travel and Tourism, Ed Tech, Aviation, and Healthcare domains.
Candidates participated in interviews with respective recruiting companies after registration. CPC also organised a pre-placement webinar on 24 February to enhance communication skills for job readiness. Prof. Paramita Suklabaidya of SOTHSM, IGNOU, offered insights on soft skills, digital footprint management, dressing etiquette, and body language for interviews.
Recruiters offered positions such as Academic Counsellors, Talent Acquisition Managers, Sales Managers, Customer Care Executives, Technical Support Staff, Travel Executives, Tele Executives, Backend Office Interns, Aviation Ground Handling Staff, Passenger Service Executives, and Healthcare/Homecare Professionals across Delhi NCR.
IGNOU’s Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Uma Kanjilal interacted with recruiters and emphasized the relevance of industry-oriented courses offered by the University. She highlighted IGNOU’s commitment to reaching learners through its Regional Centres and Learner Support Centres.
Recruiters including representatives from Saarthi IAS, Bajaj Capital, Exotique Expeditions Pvt. Ltd., and Amoli Holistique Healthcare appreciated IGNOU’s diverse learner base and well-prepared candidates. Alumni and current learners expressed gratitude for the opportunities provided at a large scale.
