Introduction

The Major/Honours degree programme follows an interdiciplinary approach of learning. It is a learner centric programme with flexibility, choices, mobility and employbility buit into it. It aims to:

  1. Enable students to enhance their abilities and skills through targeted courses, preparing them for practical applications and career readiness.
  2. Provide students with in-depth knowledge of sociology discipline alonwith other social sciences, covering essential themes and topics through core and elective courses.
  3. Develop an interdisciplinary perspective by allowing students to explore courses outside their primary field of study, emphasizing the value of diverse knowledge integration.
  4. Develop foundational reading and writing skills at the undergraduate level through assignments and exercises designed to strengthen academic understanding.

Upon completing the Major/Honours degree programme, learners will be able to:
