Introduction

MAPFHS programme has been designed to impart quality education and training in the area of Development Studies. Proper planning and management of development programmes and projects hold the key for the planners and policy makers today. The criticality of the development problems has not been properly understood due to less emphasis on development issues in the academic curriculum at the graduation and post-graduation levels. Therefore, MAPFHS programme will be useful for the development professionals across the sectors and also to fresh graduates interested in pursuing carrier in population, health and other related development sectors i.e. it is for both in-service and pre-servicepersons.

Objective

  1. To enhance knowledge of the learners on population dynamics and its related issues and challenges.
  2. To increase the knowledge of learners on migration, health, nutrition, safe drinking water and sanitation.
  3. To impart knowledge about population and its impact on ecology, environment and sustainable development.
  4. To enable the learner to establish relationship between population and women empowerment.
  5. To increase knowledge and capacities of learner to conduct research and studies on various aspects of population and family health care related issues and challenges.
