Introduction

This programme seeks to address the fast changing needs of knowledge society in the area of cyber laws and caters to the contemporary demands of various industries. It aims to enhance professional skills.

Objective

The programme consists of four compulsory courses. The objectives of this programme are to:

  • enable learner to understand, explore, and acquire a critical under- standing of Cyber Law;
  • develop competencies for dealing with frauds and deceptions, scams and other forms of cyber that are taking place via the Internet;
  • make learner conversant with the social and intellectual property issues emerging from ‘Cyberspace’;
  • explore the legal and policy developments in various countries to regulate Cyberspace;
  • develop the understanding of relationship between commerce and cyberspace; and
  • give learners an in-depth knowledge of Information Technology Act and legal framework of Right to Privacy, Data Security and Data Protection.
